I can't believe Fire Up Innovation is a year old!
Writing a book has been a lifelong aspiration of mine. However, I didn't want to create just any book—I wanted to contribute something valuable to the field of innovation and creativity.
In my years of experience, I noticed a significant gap in the available literature on creativity and innovation.
There were two main categories of books:
Theoretical works provided excellent foundational knowledge but often lacked practical application.
Tool-focused guides that offers specific techniques yet often do not provide the context and background to use the tools effectively.
My goal with "Fire Up Innovation" was to bridge this gap. I set out to create a resource that would:
Provide a solid grounding in the principles of creativity and innovation
Offer practical tips and exercises that readers could immediately apply
Combine theory and practice in a way that makes innovation accessible and actionable
One of my core beliefs is that innovation isn't something you can read about – it's a skill that must be practiced.
I often say, "You must do innovation to learn it." This philosophy is woven throughout the book, encouraging readers to engage with the concepts and actively apply them.
By creating a book that balances theoretical understanding with hands-on application, I aim to empower individuals and teams to understand innovation and actively cultivate it within their organizations.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on how it has impacted your approach to creativity and innovation in your work.
And if you have not read it yet, I have a few birthday wishes and a birthday gift:
My Birthday Gift:
If you have not read it yet, here's a $10 discount to purchase the paperback version directly (US only). While the eBook version (available on Amazon) is convenient, the paper version allows you to get the whole experience, with color-coded pages and graphics and practices you can do directly in the book.
My Birthday Wishes:
Help support your co-workers and friends by giving them the gift of innovation by sharing this book.
If you read the book, please post a short review on Amazon, including a couple of sentences summarizing who this book is for and why. I would love to get 50 + reviews (it helps with the Amazon algorithm).
Thank you for being part of this journey! Your support means so much to me as we continue to explore and ignite innovation together.
